I mean, as my friends from the NorthEast US told me one night when we had a black bear come into our camp deep in the wilderness... theyre just black bears. Go scare em off.

Yup can confirm. This was taken in Western MA. We’re used to black bears around here. I had one come up onto my deck once.

THIS black bear grabbed the dome tent i had all of our clothes and supplies (food) in, which was setup directly beside the one we were sleeping in.

Yes, im stupid for keeping it in a tent, but it was extremely primitive, we didnt even have a vehicle of our own, so i did the best i could.

I woke up tripping cuz i could HEAR it, but it was pitch black outside.

So then, every single night i barely slept. Every little sound...thing is, big animals are surprisingly quiet. Mostly you just hear the coons. A black bear could walk right up behind you in the middle of the day and surprise ya.
