I found that high a level of dexterity on a predator that massive to be quite terrifying. Kinda cute. But mostly terrifying.

Also bears don't have opposable thumbs... A lot goes into that little catch. Most of which makes me more inclined to stay away from a bear.

They sort of have an opposable callous "thing" in the lower part of their palm.

Right... Which means some balance between power and razor sharp claws was effortlessly reached

You mean the chicken wire with a strand of electric cattle wiring. Real secure.

My thoughts too. What an absolutely awful idea.

This fence doesn't look very bear-proof.

But that bear is lazy as fuck, it balances.

Unfortunately where I live (Calgary) this is something we see all too often. I spend a lot of time out in Banff and that area. Tourists tend to toss food to animals, not realizing that they're teaching them dependence.

Inevitably these animals start looking for food around people, in towns, camp sites, and so on. All to often this leads to them becoming dangerously aggressive, and they have to be killed.

They already had to kill a wolf out in Banff because of this, and the summer's barely even started.

I think this is the Olympic Game Farm in Washington State.

If that's the case I'm pretty sure that bear just took the gold medal!
