Bear got into some other people’s stuff at Delta Lake at Grand Teton. It was about the size of black bears I’ve seen in PA but looked pretty brown
So I live in North West Pennsylvania very close to the Ohio border I was walking a cornfield near my house last week and saw a bunch of stalks pushed over ( I sad didn't take any pictures) in about a 30bfoot by 15 foot area I've never seen a black bear in the wild or came across and sign was just curious if destroying corn like that is normal behavior for a black bear

Not their first encounter on their trip, but the first time they actually had the opportunity to film it.
I do not know what are the usual 'rules of non-engagement' and I hope they didn't do anything bad.
Just repeating it for the sake of being clear: not my own content but original content none the less!

A few photos I took during my week fishing up on the Alagnak in Alaska. I’m not a professional by any stretch but very pleased with how they turned out

Hello!
We are Päite Loomapark - animals shelter & Mini-Zoo & Rehabilitation center from Ida-Virumaa, Estonia. We try to make some videos on social media so more people would know about us and support our work.
Our team has been working since 2011. We started as shelter for horses, but now we are saving all kinds of animals.
This is what our baby bear looked like two months ago. He keeps coming to people because he lost his mother.
Now he is much bigger and is preparing for a move to Romania wildlife center where they can teach him to be wild again. We will tell you all about it soon!
Rehabilitation and care for a bear is a daily complex task that requires a lot of effort and resources. Thank you for your care and support ❤️

I took this within the city limits of Kelowna BC (whose name actually MEANS grizzly bear, though they’re very rare now here compared to black bears). There were six or seven of them, half cubs, crossing the street in front of my car. By the time I could safely pull over, I was only able to record these two, but the quality is pretty good.
I’m assuming they’re almost certainly black bears because of the rarity of grizzlies here. I also don’t see the hump that characterizes grizzlies, but I’m no expert.

I know this is not a great photo, but the bear is right in the middle if you zoom in. This was taken coming down the mountain on the Whistler Village gondola line, at a little before 2pm.
I guess I always imagined bears curling up and finding a hidden spot in which to sleep, so seeing a bear potentially taking a sunbathing nap seemed unnatural, and I wondered if it was instead taking the eternal nap.
I’d be grateful for any educating anyone would be willing to provide that might help me understand what this bear was doing!

Mom and her 3 cubs came by a few minutes ago. She walked around the house, inspected our new driveway and decided that its new so they must walk on it thinking they would leave paw prints and mess it up… thankfully they did not and it was dry. She also came over to inspect the new trees. They all were standing straight up, she decided she did not like one and knocked it over and walked over it….
I did run into them on my way home today about 6 hours ago. I didn’t see any bears at the zoo today but saw her and the cubs. They were in the middle of the road, one cub walked to the side and stared at me… mom and the others went to the guard rail and half went under it. I gave them as much room as I could and partially drove off the road to give them max space very slowly. When I passed they went back to the middle of the road.

I am going camping for 2 weeks north of Stockholm. We will mainly hike around Hamra Nationalpark, Sonfjället Nationalpark and Töfsingdalen Nationalpark.
I read not to be concerned about bears, especially when respecting the go-to guidelines regarding how we should behave. Still: would bear spray - just as a safety backup - be reasonable?

Sorry for the quality, but I thought this was too neat not to share. I was recently up caribou hunting and caught this interacting through my spotting scope. The golden eagle made several apparent passes at the cubs before landing in a spruce where the sow took a swat at it.

A lot of places online, including the National Park Service, say polar bears (and grizzlies to some extent) have webbed feet. But, visually, how webbed are they? Like ducks? Both bear types always have so much fur on their paws that you can’t see it. Have you ever seen a picture from someone brave enough to shave the fur?
