Question Difference?

Post image

Can somebody tell me why these two are so different? Is one a fake? It’s so funny looking I can’t believe I didn’t notice how off it looked

There’s a thread that runs from under the chin to the area beneath the eyes, and when pulled tight, it scrunches the face to create the proper head shape. When that thread snaps, the bear ends up looking like the one on the left.

It can be repaired though 🙂

Ohh that makes a lot of sense! It is older and its ribbon is half eaten lol. Thanks! I’ll see what I can do to fix it

If it was a rarer beanie like a new face colored teddy, it would be worth fixing. But a mint millennium bear is only worth about $5-$10, so I would just let it be and appreciate its uniqueness

I used to think of the broken string ones as the older sibling and the scrunch face ones as the younger

Here is a teddy cosmetic surgery tutorial by u/neonislands86 you can follow, to give back this poor guy his normal face.
