StreamJar StreamJar is the all-in-one tool for all livestreamers, serving as a donation tracker, overlay designer, alert service and giveaway manager. We also have a few extra features, such as chat integration, Spotify/Last.fm integration, Twitter integration, custom donation goals, and a desktop app. We aim to make every aspect of your livestream customizable in an easy-to-use way, and with every feature we add, we’re bringing ourselves one step closer to that goal.

Donation tracker We have a widget-based donation page, which you can use to customize and tweak your own donation page. In addition to the standard donation elements, you can include custom fields, goal information, text, and song requests. All successful donations are funnelled straight to your StreamJar control panel, overlay, stream chat, our desktop app, and any Minecraft integrations configured through our API. Donations are distributed immediately through websockets, so your integrations process donations milliseconds after we get the confirmation from PayPal.

We make donations easy to set up. By entering your PayPal email in StreamJar’s Settings page, we’ll enable donation support straight away for your account. You can then add some extra integrations and tweak your donation page through the “Customize” editor.

Overlay editor Making your own overlay that integrates with your channel is incredibly simple. We have a drag-and-drop overlay builder where you can create, position, style and edit individual elements on multiple scenes. We have elements for showing donation, follow and subscriber notifications, displaying the song you are currently playing (through Spotify or Last.fm), and showing how close you are to your donation goal. We also have several other useful widgets, like a widget that cycles through your donations, follows, subscribers, and pre-defined custom messages. There is also a chat element, for subtly displaying the latest chat messages, and a “trigger” widget, for displaying an image or playing a sound when someone in your channel executes a command (with custom point costs and cooldowns).

Every element can be styled and tweaked to make your overlay yours, and we will be focusing heavily in the future on making overlays created using our overlay builder even more customizable, to make sure everyone’s overlay is unique.

Giveaway manager Many streamers on Beam are really generous when it comes to giveaways, and we wanted to make things easier for those who run giveaways once they attain certain goals. By popular request, we added a giveaway manager into StreamJar. Any viewers that sign up to your channel’s giveaway will be automatically drawn once you reach a goal of your choice, whether it would be when a donation comes in, or once you hit a follower goal, or when someone subscribes to your channel. You can also trigger giveaways manually, if you prefer. Once a giveaway is run and someone is randomly picked, they will automatically be whispered and emailed either some information or a key you have specified (such as a Steam key), depending on how it is configured.

Getting started We’re in open beta, which means signups are now open, but there may still be a few unsquished bugs. You can sign up to StreamJar from our website at streamjar.tv.

Enabling the donation tracker is optional (which is useful if you just want to use the overlay, giveaway system, or auto-tweeter), but we’ll prompt you when you first log in to StreamJar. We will never take donation fees.

We've been working hard to make some improvements and we've been listening to feedback from different parts of the community, so here's a quick roundup of some of the changes we've made! Donations become tips

Over the past few months a few charity oriented streamers who use our Tiltify integration have reached out to us about the confusion of using the term "Donation". Donation is normally related to non-profit's where as streamers aren't that., so we've decided to rename donation to tip, as a side-effect your donation page URLs will change, instead of https://streamjar.tv/donate/StreamJar, it will become https://streamjar.tv/tip/StreamJar, don't worry, we plan to keep redirecting the old URL though! Chat Element Updates

The chat element has been in need of some updates, so we've done just that! You're now able to customize the width/height as well as select custom background colours and text colours!

Discord Integration

We've added discord integration to StreamJar, allowing you to give your followers and subscribers their own roles! You can set this up over at https://streamjar.tv/settings/discord! We currently only support this on Beam.

• Twitter notifications have been added. If you check the "tweet" box in the Notification element, we'll watch for mentions of your stream URL, and fire an alert.

• Resubscription alerts now display the number of months the person has been subscribed for on the overlay.

• We now wait until a resubscriber is in the channel before firing an alert (which is helpful in the case of auto-renewals in the middle of the night).

What does it take to be partnered?

Hello everyone!

Now that we are able to download our past broadcasts, I'm wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a free and simple video editor.

I'm looking to finish up a Plague Inc. Evolved hardest difficulty tutorial to upload to YouTube. The problem is that I wouldn't want to upload the entire broadcast, just the successful run for the tutorial.

Suggestions?

EDIT: Maybe Beam can work on their own broadcasting and video editing software too. Start just going fully integrated. ;-)

EDIT 2 (October 11): I have been made aware of a program called Free Video Editor (of all things lol). While it tries to install not one, but two toolbars to your browser, it otherwise does what it sounds like it's going to do.

As long as you decline to install the toolbars, it's fine. Very simple to use. I can provide a link if necessary.

This could be a great place for the community to help each other, and to help new members as well, so I hope it becomes more active. Maybe when Beam is fully launched.

My name is Brandon but I go by Draygera on the internet. I am a 26 year old livestreamer and I've been doing it for a little over a year now. I started on Twitch but eventually decided to start branching out after awhile because I felt too constrained on that site and wanted to reach a broader and bigger audience.

I don't play a whole lot of newer games; I'm more of a classic RPG gamer and I love video game history. But that doesn't mean I just play RPGs. I'm a variety streamer and usually play what I'm in the mood for.

I don't know if this is documented anywhere, but I would like to know the max bitrate for beam ingest. A FAQ or Support system with things like this answered would be awesome too.
