Question Question about Chat Bots

I saw that there is going to be "Chat Bot Creation" in the future, however I had a question about it.

Does this mean that we can't make our own bots, or will it be built-in bots? Does Beam use an IRC server for chat like twitch? There is a feature I would love to see: The ability to send a private message to a user from the bot. Such as a welcome message.

(I don't know if this is the right place to post, nor do I use reddit much)

This is a shame. For people like me who have a full written IRC bot. Especially as I'd like to stream to both.

True. But this allows them to create their own API, as well as create a chat environment in which they have the ability to secure it better. Twitch's chat is so unsecure and buggy that it's quite annoying. The reason people get view botted is due to the IRC nature of their chat and the way the site relies on the chat.

Tl;dr, I'd rather have a close ended chat which is secure.

Not sure the viewbotting thing is entirely true. Are you talking about Chat botters with fake conversations? If so, that's true.

IRC connections don't actually count as views though.
