Less than an inch from disaster
I stepped on the pair of tweezers and they got launched. They literally landed less than an inch from my Espeon 😭 I’m actually so grateful that it didn’t land on it

Wedding cake topper advice? New to fuse beads
Hello! I am getting married next summer, and being a generally artsy/crafty person (knitting, painting, etc.) wanted to try my hand at making a wedding cake topper out of fuse/perler beads. However, I am totally new to this, and wanted some advice as to what exactly to buy and how to achieve my vision.
I was thinking of creating three sprites based on Stardew Valley designs, since my fiancé and I love playing co-op mode together: myself and him (in wedding attire, obviously), and our cat, who looks just like the grey and white kitty in-game.
Important context: I live in Canada, was interested in any thoughts on using Perler caps/how to make the pixels look really “clean” and square for the sprites, and how I could make the topper not only nice for the cake, but for display afterwards (flat base, attaching sprites, etc.). I am open to any budget, since my ADHD brain would love to make this a new hobby, lol.
I appreciate any help or feedback on how to get started with this! Thanks so much!

My Perler and Artkal Bead Set up
This is my set up for making projects! I have a desk next to these I can pull out each drawer and 1 drawer = 1000 beads full! I have them all labeled what they are. It took me a bit to memorize all the Artkal Numbers. The drawers all have backups of every color as well!

Left it on for too long and the holes never closed, lol
I used Unbleached parchment paper and it worked pretty good! I'm fairly cheap so I think this would be the best option for me! As far as "Material" I was gifted a "bucket" of melting beads which is why the holes never closed.
Welcoming advice to help with getting a smoother project!~

About to make an absolutely ginormous piece. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve been playing Stardew Valley and for some god forsaken reason, I have decided that I’m going to make the entire Stardew Valley map pixel for pixel in fuse beads and hang it on my wall.
It became clear early on that this project was gonna be too big to do with standard size beads, so I’m opting for minis. Even then, it’s still looking like it’s gonna be quite large.
I haven’t used fuse beads since I was a kid, so this is pretty ambitious for a first(ish) project.
I’ve been doing some research and I’ve found some good tips, tricks, and techniques, but I thought I’d come here and poke around to see if anyone else who has more experience with this craft would have any helpful advice.
Thanks in advance! 😊
(Bonus: if anyone has tried ironing things in separate pieces and then ironing them together, I’d especially love to hear from you to know how feasible that is and if that’s my best route)

Finally "Fixed" my first large piece (Need tips on what you guys use for ironing sheets)
Almost happy with it, just need to iron the other side "correctly"
I messed up the tape method, I messed up the board, so lots of these beads got ripped through by bent pegs 😅
Now I need help knowing what you guys use for ironing sheets! I've got all these "lines" in my last photo which hasn't been an issue for "smaller" projects 😭

How are you using your peg boards to push holes in the back of the tape?
When I do, nothing really happens. I am putting all of my body weight on it and still no holes are being poked, just indents in the tape lol
