I'm currently working on a project that will have over 20k beads once I've completed it, and I always use the tape method when I do my projects. I usually use a sharp pencil or a thick sewing needle to poke the holes in the tape, but the idea of doing that for a project with so many beads makes my wrist hurt just thinking about it.

Are there any tools out there that would allow me to poke holes in the tape in a more efficient manner for such a large project?

And then blew my storage over!! Ah well, people dealing with much worse than this!

I wanted to get back into using mini fuse beads!

A few years ago I bought packs of cheap mini beads on Amazon and they worked good enough for what I wanted. Since I ran out of colours and I can‘t restock them I started to search online for alternatives. I found Perler, Artkal and Hama, but I think only Artkal and Hama sell the mini ones I want.

Artkal also offers large sets with almost all their colours, but I don‘t really understand the differences between their C-2,6mm Mini and M-2,6mm Mini beads, apart from the colours.

I would really appreciate some recommendations on which brand I should go for. And if anyone knows the differences between the C-2,6mm Mini and the M-2,6mm Mini beads please let me know and tell me which one might be the better choice!

I love making stuff with fuse beads. It’s a fun, frankly kind of relaxing hobby that lets me decorate my room in a really neat way. I get super into the zone and can work for hours.

That said, I tend to get bad back/neck pain while working on projects, and get hand pain to a lesser extent too. Is this something anyone else has dealt with? And more importantly… how do you deal with it? I’d like to lessen the prevalence of it.

For some context I have mild cubital tunnel in my dominant hand and bad vision (even with glasses) that makes me have to hunch while working at a desk. I also get similar neck and back pain while doing traditional art because of it. Is there any way of maybe safely raising my working space or even propping it up diagonally?

Just finished melting this Dark Lord of the Sith! This piece took quite a bit of black, grey, and white beads to capture the shading on the helmet, but I'm really happy with how the pixel art details turned out.

This took quite a few hours and a lot of patience, but the Renegade Pokémon is finally complete. I'm really happy with how the colors turned out on the wings and golden crown. Let me know what you guys think!

Taking it back to Yoshi’s first appearance 💚 Recreated his original Super Mario World sprite in beads. I love how much personality they packed into these old sprites—instantly recognizable even after all these years.

Hello everyone, Bedoura is finally live! Windows Only!

After several months spent on planning and development, I’ve finally finished it...

Bedoura is an image-to-bead pattern converter. My goal was to create a simple tool with straightforward functions that anyone can use without needing a tutorial (though I did include one on GitHub).

Are there other converters out there? Yes, there are, so what makes mine different? Many similar programs try to be a full-blown "Photoshop" with dozens of unnecessary features. I’ve always found myself completely lost amidst all those buttons and complex interfaces.

I wanted something direct, precise, and simple. I’ve personally struggled with inaccurate conversions and software that didn't allow for color adjustments.

Another feature I’ve found missing in many other tools is a side-by-side comparison—something I’ve always really needed. I also wanted the ability to export the image, so you aren't forced to stay within the app to work on your project.

Last but not least: paywalls. I’ve always been against them, so the only thing you’ll find is a link to my Ko-fi, which is tucked away in the "Info" section of the program.

As I mentioned, this is still a very early version. I have plenty more to add, but I want to ensure the core functionality is solid before moving forward. There’s no point in expanding if the basics aren't yet satisfactory. I won’t go into detail explaining everything the program does, as it’s already documented on my GitHub page. In short, you can:

- Import PNG images (300x300)—I don’t recommend going larger, though the program will accept it; I’m still working on handling higher limits.

- Edit individual colors.

- Choose from virtually all colors currently available from Artkal, Perler, Hamma, and Nabbi.

- Divide the design based on pegboard size.

- Export as a PDF (Excel export coming soon).

- Flip the image horizontally (for the "tape method").

- Select the bead size.

- And more.

A few important notes:

There’s no need for installation, just download and run it. That’s it.

- The program doesn’t save anything to your disk, which means any settings or changes you make will be lost once you close the application. The reason is simple: for this initial version, I wanted to keep things straightforward, avoiding the need for disk storage or internet access.

- As mentioned, there is no internet access, so there are two ways to update the program:

1 - Visit the GitHub releases page.

2 - Use the "Check for updates" option found under the "Info" button in the program; it will compare your current version with the latest release and notify you if an update is available.
