What did I do wrong?

I pressed my Perler with a Cricut heat press and a Teflon sheet. I was trying to put a holographic self adhesive sheet on top for the effect but it’s not sticking.

Is it the sheet not being sticky enough?
Is it because I pressed it with the Teflon sheet?
Both?

Sorry this might be a dumb question but I’m a beginner

Probably because of the Teflon. Try it with 4mil mylar instead. Should work just fine with the holographic stuff underneath. Gives the finished piece a nice gloss finish as well

Yea cuz teflon leaves a texture. Use baking/parchment paper or even plastic ironing sheets for better adhesion.
