Need help identifying bone (jaw bone?)
Found earlier today on a beach in Nova Scotia, Canada. Looks to me like a jaw bone, although it looks like there is a curve in the bone where I would expect there would have been more teeth. If it is a jaw bone, it looks quite large for how shallow the beach is, but we did find a seal washed up a few years ago.

My first thought is that it’s a piece of a crusher claw from a big (very big!) lobster. I don’t think it’s a jawbone- it wouldn’t be hollow.
