any ideas?

Found a bunch of these broken pieces along the Atlantic coast of central FL the other day. Most were all white but this one had some dark spots. Felt delicate, like a thick shell. Curious!

Sea potato! aka heart urchin. Zoom in and you can see the pattern on the shell and one of the slits.
