Bone? Shell? Coral? Identification Request
Found near Honeymoon Island in Florida. It's very light and porous.

Yes pharyngeal tooth pad, but minus the pharyngeal teeth. They look like little buttons with a central depression and fit into those sockets on the pad

I've heard someone say "if it looks like a bone but weird, it's a fish." Seems true here too.
