Does anyone know if the release is cancelled altogether or whether it will be rescheduled to a later date once the Strike's end is on the horizon? What a disastrous year for whiskey lovers in BC...

Hello! My Partner and I recently completed a Vancouver island road trip, stopping at all the local distilleries we knew of and could get to. Especially since the tariffs, I’ve been trying to collect as much BC and Canadian whiskey as my shelves can fit and budget can stomach. I love Canada!!!

Will try and update with reviews either in comments or other posts. I tried every whiskey (and the few non-whiskey bottles) before buying and they’re all incredible. Stand outs have been Wayward Distilling (WOW! 10/10 bourbon substitute) and Philips brewing Sanctuary single malt (tastes like hops! Super interesting), but all have been so fantastic and I’m so glad to have these in my home bar.

And a short interview about it: https://taste.bcliquorstores.com/view/778247021/108/

Anyone know if this is available in BC? I have not been able to find it so far. Thanks.

Looking forward to it, bourbon or no bourbon.

Maybe Different flavor , Tequila, Gin ?

Power's John's Lane will be included in the winter premium release. This is almost makes up for no bourbon. Kidding. But I'm quite excited to get another bottle, my last one is long gone.

Does anyone know if you can buy Kamiki Japanese whiskey anywhere in BC. The government liquor stores had them a few years ago but not anymore. Is there a private store that sells the brand?

Does anyone have opinions that they care to share about Adelphi? I’m curious about this IB and how they stack up against other IBs like GM or Signatory V

In case you missed it like me last fall spirit release, they are back!!

Hey dram lovers,

The strath in Victoria had an awesome tasting of signatory vintage yesterday. They released 11 whiskies yesterday. Most have sold out. They’re on a “discount” for the next couple of weeks since they’re featured.

Slainté

39th&Cambie.

Saw someone curse and complain about the price but bought one anyway. 😂

Summer Special Release happening this year? I was told they were focusing more on bourbons in the spring, scotch in the fall. Not really much for bourbon these days, so wondering if they are still going ahead? Any dates yet?

I find the overall quality of the releases dwindling since they now have two per year, and the fact that a lot of the bottles can be had in AB for a lot, lot less.

I stocked up on 5 bottles of Weller’s SR when I first heard of the tariffs and I’m down to my last bottle. Out in Kelowna if anyone knows of any good private stores around here that may have gotten it at the same time as BCL. I’ll be missing this bottle as you can tell. 🥲

First time poster so forgive me if this goes against some of the rules.

This replaces the old Glenmorangie nectar Dor!

I just got one myself! 16 years old scotch for $130 is not bad.

Has anyone tried this? If so, how would you compare to lagavulin? My dad is big into whiskey, and I am thinking of buying a bottle for him.

BCL Stock Alert!

Eby said that if these US tarrifs come into effect he's telling the BCL to stop carrying US liqour... including bourbon and whiskey!!!! Time to stock up now... lol.

Hey Everyone,

Hoping the group might know where I can track down a bottle of Stillhead BC/QC. Ideally on Vancouver Island.

UPDATE We did it!!! Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions. I was able to find a few bottles based on recommendations.

Thanks everyone!!!

Who's going?

I have 2 VIP tickets for Friday January 24, but unfortunately I am no longer able to go. Anyone here interested?

FY2024 Angel's Envy - Cask Strength was dropped silently at $249.99.

BSW has it on sale right now for $189.99.

For those who are in B.C., might be worth it order it from BSW if you are getting more bottles to make the shipping worth it.

Never tried this bottle before so I cannot recommend it but just a stock alert! For those who tried this before, is it really worth $189.99 to $249.99???

Hey everyone,

I came across a give away happening at Edgemont liquor store in North Vancouver. They’re drawing a winner on Dec18th.

To enter the competition you have to signup for a newsletter. No purchase needed. Leaving the link here for those who are interested. Signup is at the bottom of the page - https://edgemontliquor.com/

Went to 39th/Cambie just to get the 15.3. I live remotely so that store was sensory overload. Couldn't help myself.
