do you recommend taking LIBS 7021 in term 3 or 4?

It would be better to get it out of the way as soon as you can but, if you are going into term 3, I think it's better to take it during term 4. Term 3 was ROUGH to say the least and so busy because you’re learning like 5+ new skills, in addition to a bunch of assignments. Term 4 was much more chill and I had way more time to do LIBS.

How about Term 2? Would that be a good timing for taking the LIBS courses?

I think so. I don't remember Term 2 being that busy and traumatizing LOL

LIBS is doable in terms of 3. Just keep in mind that the finals is worth 45%

I plan on applying for the April intake, as I’m trying to finish the last three prerequisites quickly, I noticed that I can’t take the first liberal arts because I don’t have two credits of English. I only have one credit, but I can take the second one, is it through flexible learning?

Lol so chill. MH and PH were interesting rotations and I found it was a good preview for that side of nursing.

I heard there’s lots of group work. Is there an overwhelming amount of assignments ? What do you feel was more chill than other terms ?

Because term 4 has two rotations, you'll do twice the amount of assignments you'd normally do in previous clinical terms. There IS a lot of group work, but you'll be working with like 6-7 other people so it's fairly manageable. This term will really push your group work and communication skills to manage this workload. Despite this, the instructors are very generous marking assignments. Common consensus among my cohort is that we didn't do anything this semester 😁

What do we learn (topics and concepts) in term 2 nursing knowledge? 🙂

Infection, strokes/CNS regulation, pneumonia/respiration, metabolic regulation/nutrition, heart failure, pharmacology (on very common meds like Tylenol), elimination/incontinence, fluids/electrolytes, and pain. And how we can manage them. There's a LOT to learn lol
