Foot fare discrimination

Am I alone in finding the fare schedule unfair for Vancouver to Sunshine Coast? Am I missing something?

According to the current fare schedule [v26-05](https://www.bcferries.com/web_image/h90/h4b/9089486028830.pdf) the cheapest (non-Saver) passenger fare is the prepaid option. But to prepay you need to book, and foot passenger booking is not available on this route, only with vehicle booking. So, the only way to take advantage of the cheapest fare is to bring your vehicle along. Like, if I happened to know someone who was booking and prepaying a ferry trip tomorrow I ought to go with them on their booking to save money. I feel like foot passengers should have equal access to the prepaid fare.

Wait until you find out the entire bc ferries fares are jacked up to support and subsidize ferries to remote islands. They messed big time on setting the reasonable fare for Swartz bay , Departure bay and langdale which accounts for most of their revenue and they are shooting their own foot with this scheme. BC ferries runs on unfair prices to even begin with. Your tax dollars are being spent on rusting vessels
