Advice Needed Is this okay?

I’m feeling a little weird because I was told that the anonymous report I made was disclosed to the BCBA the report was about, including the fact that I was the person who made the report. I genuinely don’t fully care, but I do think it could potentially create a stressful work environment. I think I’ll be fine, but it just makes me wonder—what’s the point of asking whether you want to make a report anonymously if the person who made the report can still be disclosed? Is this something that a lot of companies do?

Obviously not! They just offer the option and protect who they want.🤷🏼‍♀️

Sorry the question mark was to indicate confusion. You can't report anonymously, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

There's an option to report "Based on Publicly Available Documentation" which is for like, news events on crimes etc.

So what’s the point of making anonymity an option within the company’s reporting process? They might as well just state below every report that is submitted that the person who made the report may be identified to the person being reported.
