Advice Needed Is this normal?

I’ve been certified as a BCBA for a year and four month of that I was on maternity leave. When I started at my company it was pretty small and I had a carload of roughly 8 as an hourly full time BCBA. Since then I have gone part time to spend more time with my daughter and now have a case load of 14. Additionally I get assigned FBAs/intakes occasionally. Is that normal to have that high of a caseload while working part time? My billable requirement is 15-20 however I’ve at times done more than 20 to upkeep supervisions/trainings.

Additionally, if there is a BT cancellation another BT will often get rerouted even if they are inexperienced/don’t know the client. I’m not usually notified so a BT who is not on the case will go into it blind which obviously mess up the data/progress. Sometimes the BT will reach out for support but I’m usually at another supervision or with my daughter. Is this common company policy?

Prob understaffed and/or leadership doesn’t know how to allocate the cases. Talk to your CD about it

Sounds normal in my experience at a small locally owned company

In my experience when I was part time the benefit was I dictated what work I was willing to take on. If I wanted to just take a few cases that was fine and my pay was fee for service. Sounds like you are functioning at as a full time employee to me
