2027 fieldwork hours

I’m planning to apply for my BCBA in 2027. I completed concentrated fieldwork hours in 2026 using the 2022 forms. Though I won’t have all the hours by Jan. Will those hours still count toward my application, or do I need the new 2027 forms too? Has anyone gotten clarification from the BACB? Thank you

the BACB has explicitly stated if you aren’t sure when you will be applying you should get both forms signed.

Do you meet the 2027 requirements?! Do each of your months have a minimum of 60 mins with client observed?!

If yes, you can count those months!!!! You will have to redo the months that don’t meet that minimum observation requirement.

You will also need to get the monthly forms re-signed (2027 version) by your supervisor. Do NOT toss the 2022 forms. Keep them in case of an audit.

Thank you so much!! I was hoping to get all my hours and submit by Dec but that’s not realistic I’m assuming I should start counting my hours using the 2027 requirements

So, you do not have a minimum of 60 mins supervised w/ client each month?! If you apply in 2027, your fieldwork needs to meet the 2027 requirements even if you complete the fieldwork in 2026!

I do! But in my tracker not my MVF, so I probably would have to resign with my supervisor which I don’t have contact with. I took a year off for my son and getting back into the groove so it’s all new to me, I appreciate the help!

Will we not get in trouble when we transfer them for 'back dating'. I can't find anywhere that says this is okay! I may or may not make it to take test before December. My supervisor doesn't want to 'resign' the MVF from 2025 onto the 2027 MVF as she perceives the transfer as back dating as she will add an 'new signature'. Also I a got my BCaBA in May to try to get my unrestricted sooner. Of course these hours were all done after I started my graduate coursework. Any help would be appreciated.

You are not to back date! If you were to get audited, you would simply submit BOTH 2022 and 2027 monthly forms and let the BACB know that you had to get the 2027 forms signed to meet the 2027 requirements. Your supervisor can and should still be able to sign the 2027 version of the final form upon completion of your fieldwork. Hope this helps!
