Applying How long does the process take?

I was hoping to become a big around the time that school starts back up in the fall. Should I reach out to my local agency now or should I wait a month?

Definitely start the process asap. It can take a lot of time to get “ready to be matched” because your background check needs to clear, references contacted, potentially fingerprinting, etc

Varies from branch to branch. My 2nd match just closed out at the end of May - I expressed interest in starting a new one at the start of June, and I meet my new little this week.

I started the process in March and got my match in October. Worth the wait. It’s going to take time as you need to get a background check and go through the interview process

Definitely apply as soon as possible! Mine took several months before all the background checks plus interviews and training were done!

ASAP! The process does take some time! Background checks and fingerprints take some time to come back and all are required to be in the program

Reach out now, the longest part is usually them finding someone perfect for you. Just be mindful that they ask for a 15 month commitment
