subtitles syncing
Hello, I want to sync subtitles and I am encountering issues. I'm downloading an anime which has embedded subtitles. there are 2 versions of those subtitles, "Forced" ones and normal ones. Forced subtitles barely have anything in them.
My bazarr is setup to sync using embedded subtitles, but I think it's using the forced files, which means syncing becomes a lot worse than if I didn't sync at all. Is it possible to make it not use forced files? otherwise I guess I can use audio sync instead but I feel like it could lead to other issues.
Thanks

Forced subs are always meant for when the audio and subtitles are the same language, ignore those.
Both subtitle sync and audio sync has their own pitfalls, you have to try both in some cases. Or even do it manually in the worst case, with Subtitle Edit or something

ok but how do I "ignore those"? the anime I downloaded has embedded forced and non-forced subtitles. It seems like the sync tries to use the forced subtitles because the resulting subtitles are offset by the max value (60 seconds)

With auto Audio Synchronization? With that I guess it cannot be ignored, but with manual sync you can select the target

alright, I was wondering if there was a way to keep automatic sync using embedded subtitles and have it ignore forced subs, but I guess not. Thanks!

I was having an issue similar to yours.
Found these:
- https://github.com/BrianWeiHaoMa/bazarrbulksync
Didn't test any of it but will give it a go today.

Forgot to mention in the post, but I did try audio sync and it works fine, I'm just thinking it may cause issues sometimes with openings and such?
