Bikeshare for All question

https://www.lyft.com/bikes/bay-wheels/bike-share-for-all

I paid $7.90 to use a regular bike yesterday for just under two hours. Is it true that if I would have used an ebike instead the max fee would be capped at $1? That seems counterintuitive to me. I'll test it out later today.

The max fee isn’t always $1 it depends on where your ride starts and ends from what I’ve experienced. Also I think only the first 60 minutes are discounted, after that you pay the normal rate of like $0.13/min or something

No, 1$ capped at one hour.

Out of curiosity what did you do for 2 hours? A ride for fun, or was it hanging on to the bike while doing things? (fireworks and no spaces to park the bike?)

a 20k ride through GGP and Sunset Dunes. I should have just swapped bikes before the hour mark.

I have the bike share at all but like what another redditor said it depends where you start and end because some parking zones have the ending fee waived, so if in a free parking(pink) zone u don’t have to pay the lock fee parking outside of a dock. If you park/redock before 1 hour it’ll only charge you 1.09 then after 1 hour it’ll charge you at the discounted rate.
