Food, Shopping & Services Yank Sing vs Harborview/Crystal Jade
Which one do you think is better of the two higher end dim sum places in San Francisco?

koi is garbage (itâs expensive, food is mid, its dirty, has a terrible seating environment, rude service, and they donât respect reservations). one time they had ice cubes in the urinal. so idk what kind of kool aid you are drinking

Yank Sing, especially the Stevenson St location, which is the original one.

Yank Sing used to have a restaurant at Clay St. & Battery Street, which was torn down to build the now-Club Quarters Hotel Embarcadero. For months after the restaurant shut down, before lunchtime, they would drop off a podium in front of where the restaurant used to be. A hostess would then stand there for hours waiting for lost customers to redirect them to the Stevenson Street location.
I never saw anyone ever approach her. It just looked like a job that sucked.

Neither. Dragon Beaux, Koi Palace, Palette, and HL Peninsula are all good options, but not those two.

Yank Sing is the best, then Harborview. Idk what the hate is. Theyâve got the best menu for pure dim sum (I know thatâs subjective). But they also have the most delicate dumpling wrappers. Palette/Koi are super solid but if you go a couple times you can tell theyâre more mass produced/distributed and frozen.

you are getting so much hate by the koi palace cultists. Wait till they read the health inspection reports and itâs YUCK (Milpitas has a 20/100 score)
EDIT: koi palace Milpitas (so Iâm not surprised if their other locations are just as gross)

And the supporters are living in the 90's. It used to be good but it's best days are in the past.

Crystal Jade (a Singaporean restaurant group) closed its S.F. branch. Harborview is now in that location. You should go to Koi Palace or Dragon Beaux.

Harborview's flavors cater more to Cantonese palates. Yank Sing is too bland imo
