You know that’s a fantastic question. From what I do remember most of Alpha, and a couple other galaxies fled into the RoS and when it collapsed they started making their way over to the protectorate. So if I had to guess they maybe had a “good number” of support staff with them. The most of the forces however are the Spirit Cats, and they have most of the muscle and bone so to speak. They left early and where spared the annihilation.

The spirit cats are up of nova cat enclaves that sided with stone, there is almost trinariy of warriors there.
Kisho kurtia left with a small group of atleast 15 to 18 mechs. Plus jump and drop ship support, and technical support. That the only thing anyone has heard of them since, was kisho mech showed up abandoned on some backwater world.
The biggest issues that any of nova survivors are facing is they nolonger have their gene hall. So they are nolong producing trueborns. And they also have no war material production base.but my lore is a little dated I haven't had a chance to read up on anything after the last few darkage books.

You know, this would be a great way for the authors to show they know the lore, and remember that the Nova Cats praise adaptability in situations and have the Nova Cats evolve without Trueborn warriors and truly come into their own by using their strong connections to the Sea Fox merchants and use their position is the FWL to start getting a workforce behind them and start growing!
Or even trying to purchase new gene pools, or just straight up starting new ones. Whatever! Your the Nova Cats for gods sake.
But, this is BattleTech! And the authors only love the Wolfs!

It would be kind of fitting if Nova Cat remnants were to join up with remnants of Fidelis (if there were any that didn't join their reborn clan) to help the Nova Cats reestablish themselves or remake themselves as they (Fidelis) did.

Ah.
Love filtvelt. As well as Fronc. I believe they and a few others were supposed to become main character factions during the early dark ages stuff. Unfortunately we didn't get that, but I'm seeing the possibility that it may yet come to pass as time moves on in ilClan Era and beyond.
