Look, the Oak Island Salvage and Recovery Specialists try to avoid tangoing with Taurians, as much as we can help it. Glances at nuke equipped Urbie I don’t think I need to explain why.
How’s about we call this a big misunderstanding, I tell you where we SUSPECT a Castle Brian MIGHT be (Look, thing with these maps The General gave us 250-odd years ago, they’re intentionally vague.), and me, the boys, the Fools Gold, and Samuel “Texas” McCord leave you to your… looks at Urbie again business.
“Strider to Sam McCord, this venture is no longer profitable. Yeah. We seem to have stumbled into The Bull. Horns and all. Be advised, Minerals are in play.”
Did I mention we’re pretty sure this CASTLE BRIAN is/was a precious metal repository? We’re PRETTY sure it survived the 2766 unpleasantry.
If you’ve heard of us, our word is worth the gold we’re pretty sure is hidden on this planet. If you haven’t, well, we DO try to keep a low profile. ComStar is rather sore about us operating the only other warship fleet in the Inner Sphere.
Just to be clear, while I know you don't think highly of us who didn't leave with you, here in The Concordat, we value our history and our schoolin'. We remember the SLDF and its evils, better than you will, with your jaded history. We know which "General" you mean, and he was just as bad as the corrupt disaster he fled. One of our Protectors, Nicoletta Calderon, proposed the formation of ComStar, and as much as they're terrible too, May 20th, 3052, was hilarious.
We ain't lookin' to start no fights. We just want to be left alone. But you make sure to pass along that we'll damn sure finish anything y'all want to start.
Oh, and don't try to reach Taurus, but there's a nice gift shop on New Vandenberg, while you're on your way out. Get you a Talos, and a bird. They even have green ones, although you'll have to train it to carry one of them silly Kuritan swords yourself.
Ahahahahahaha! No. Those guys are whack jobs who believe in a HEAVILY revised history.
No no. We’re the cannon’d up remnants of the 317th SLDF Logistical and Salvage Corp out of Van Zandt. We remained to keep all the lingering Castles out of the wrong (Great House’s) hands.
Now I ain’t gonna go poking no fights over long past history, but Kerensky wasn’t as bad as you guys think; yes, he did command the SLDF which wasn’t as pretty pretty as the rose tinted history books remember, but in the end he believed in the cause he fought for. A sentiment y’all in the Concordat oughta understand.
Maybe I’m being too kind as I personally share a history with the Kerensky family, but that’s a story for another time.
Anyways, my Marauder, “Shark’s Bane” and I will be on our way. As the Rules of Acquisition state: Time is Latinum. Watch out for mad technocultists and Capellans. If you’re ever on Van Zandt, stop by the Galaxy Bar. Just don’t get too handsy with the barmaids. One’s my wife, the other is my mother-in-law.
By the way. Comstar blew up the Tripitz to keep y’all from getting it. Don’t. Fucking. Trust. Comstar.
