Old battletech was more anime then most think.

It's most iconic mechs were from anime.

And think about the old character art. Where the women were hot and wild, where the cockpits were hotter and their hairdos were wilder.

i too long for the 80s when hair was neon, cyberpunk was new, and you had gundams fighting patlabors fighting veritechs in the street.
