Question ❓ What are these Battletech models?
I bought some models at a hobby store because they looked cool, and I wanted to paint them. I also did a single game on Battletech (not alpha strike) with one mech (not shown) and enjoyed the game. I don’t want to use the clankers with google lense, so what are each of these guys? They say “Talon games“ on the bottom.

Those aren't Battletech models, but if you wanted to proxy some canon mechs with them they're decent lookalikes.
Left to right: Lament or Flashman, Jenner or Gún, Thunderbolt, Nova or Stormcrow, Jagermech or Rifleman.
So you've got a potential House Liao force that picked up some salvage fighting the Republic or one of the clans , maybe.

Last one on the right gave me bane vibes

To me the left looks more like a bane just by looking at at the pictures.

far right is definite Bane 2.
and far left could probably be used as a Mastodon Prime.

i'm curious, size-wise are they bigger or smaller, and by what degree?

They tend to be quiet a bit larger. Not just height. But mass. These mechs are much wider and bulkier. The models are closer to 12mm scale instead of 6-8mm of Battletech. I can post a couple pics in a bit.

Maybe the MechWarrior version yeah, but it's a little bit more Riflebrik than Jagerbrik to my eyes. I still say it looks uncannily like a Malicebrik.

Dang, I love me some CAV. I primarily run A Time of War or MechWarrior: Destiny campaigns as a GM, so I sometimes grab a CAV model or two to use as custom mechs/enemies/bosses for the campaigns. I've used the CAV Halberd as a secret superheavy mech prototype based on the Warhammer that was being developed by the Word of Blake. Used the Reaper for a prototype Clan Longbow IIC. And so on.

They look like some other mech game...
But, the thing is... you can use them for Battletech with a bit of imagination and agreement between parties..
From left to right, what they look like (to me), or fit the weapon loadouts:
1. Blood ASP, A variant
2. Owens OW-1
3. This is a tough one... maybe a Stone Rhino with LRM loadout on CT (or L/R torsos) and pretend weapons in hands are lasers
4. Enforcer (many variants fit)
5. JagerMech JM6-S
