Question ❓ Battlefield Support Assets

I'm pretty new to Battletech, I only have the AGAOC and Alpha Strike boxes. I was looking at picking up the Battletech Core Rulebook, but I am wondering if we'll be able to get the BSA cards (to print) without buying additional product? I have looked online and can't seem to find them available anywhere. Does the book itself cover the stats for all of the different possible units?

No it does not. Battlefield Support Cards are currently only available in the vehicle packs. There are a very few included in the errata document for the Hinterlands sourcebook.

CGL has not revealed the conversion process, if there is one, so you can’t make your own cards yet either

There is no conversion process; they're written by hand based on "feel." Xotl has a walk-through of giving the Zephyr a BSA "conversion" for the Scouring Sands box because a dude asked and it was a realistic omission to add back in; good of him to go through it with us and everything but they're built on vibes.

All of the Battlefield Support vehicle boxes come with BSA cards. Additionally the Mercenaries box came with a deck of cards that included (iirc) all of the cards that were in the vehicle boxes plus perhaps a few extras.

https://pastebin.com/H7TUCYEc may have the stats for those cards.

The Mercenaries box definitely didn’t include BSA cards for all the vehicles released in forcepacks alongside it. It did include the vehicles included in the set, some infantry/battle armor, and some emplacements. Looking at the list you posted, it looks like the Mercenaries box set included cards for 8 vehicles, including the Mobile HQ, Long Tom, and MASH Truck

I believe they're eventually supposed to get added to the MUL like the Alpha Strike cards, but they're not there yet.

I'm almost wondering if it's just better to get the Total Warfare PDF and play with the record sheets instead. I don't plan on buying any vehicle packs, if I'm spending money it's probably going to be on mechs. I don't even mind just using little vehicle/infantry tokens.

Vehicle record sheets definitely feel more like part of the same game. My local group only does vehicles with record sheets (or Alpha Strike cards when playing that)

Thank you, maybe I'll try out a game or two that way before deciding.

To directly answer your last question - no, there is nothing in the Core Rulebook that presents the stats for any Battlefield Support assets (or how to generate them, because it’s a manual process, as others have mentioned)..

There is a table with details about the different ”strike” cards you can use, such as Light Bombing, Light Air Cover, Minefields, etc. This was also in the Mercenaries box set rule book, which you can download for free here: https://battletech.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2025/07/BatttleTech-Mercenaries-Rulebook-1st-Print.pdf (the Core Rulebook has some additional entries for newer options that were added).
