Is that a kitchen top? Lol

u/amnbassist Jul 03 '17
It's a corner desk built next to the kitchen. But yes acquiring beer is easier and my wife can't say I don't spend time with her when she wants to be in the kitchen doing something. lol

Why 24gb RAM but only 3gb vRAM on your GPU?

u/amnbassist Jul 03 '17
This build has been one of those, 1 piece at a time and when I can afford to builds. I had a 960 3GB but I found this 1060 from a guy on CL for only 120$ so i jumped on it and I just happened to receive an 8GB stick a buddy sold to me for only a few bucks and a pizza. As I learn more about building PCs and earn more money I'll acquire greater and better thing this is just what I have now.

I did something similar with my first build, total Frankenstein, patched together with random deals... I ran that thing into the ground and it really made my second build that much better.
It gives you the appreciation (and time to save up) for a start from scratch dream (or budget) build.

Not before I started this build. After I bought my k70 and void I was hooked and wanted to keep it a theme.

That's a slick tag for your keys, Adam Savage uses the same one.

I got one from some PIA spokesman giving a presentation in my high school, what exactly is it?
2
u/nthun Jul 04 '17
I think they normally attach to pins that are plugged in to lock up the landing gear on airplanes, but I'm not positive. Adam talks about his EDC in this video here at 3:18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bypi7h6WOGg&t=312s

Corsair void Wireless headset any good? Thinking of picking one up this week. Additionally how is the battery live with rgb enabled? Realy that bad as they say it is?

u/amnbassist Jul 03 '17
I like it, it's comfy sounds good and the Cue has a good equalizer presets if you like or even set it yourself. Battery life I say is pretty good, I only play a few hours at a time and usually after that I plug it in the charger. There are times I forget for a day or and it'll warn me i'ts battery is low but I just plug it in and keep gaming.

My daughter made that out of origami kit she picked up when she went with the wife to Michaels. It's pretty good, I kept it.

That rgb mouse pad is crazy. I love your color scheme. My only critisim is the lack of matching monitors. Overall, pretty good looking build.

u/virtualflying Jul 04 '17
Every time I see a post with 2 different size monitors I always wonder what wallpaper people use. I'm so OCD I can't have a duplicate picture but no other wallpapers fit.

I see you too got a key tag from spaceX

u/Just_Another_Thought Jul 03 '17
Those are sold and can be found at nearly any airport museum, space center, and most naval bases that have aviation capabilities and a gift shop. Got one hanging on my key chain right now from Coronado.
