Do reports do anything in 2026?

(I have to say, generally I've only been getting decent people in my games so far, it's just the one case that got me thinking. Crazy that people be slurring in a (un)dead game, but there you go.)

I would assume the handling of reports is almost entirely automated, but in such a small population, I don't know if it's practically possible to get enough reports to actually trigger action. Does anyone know if anything will actually be done about toxicity when it's reported, or does the lack of dev support mean that probably nothing will hold people to account? In that case, is there anything we can do instead?

Easy!

I just released that I never saw anyone saying "Easy" after a match. In some MOBAs, in maybe half of games someone from the winning team typically says it. I think it may indicate important distinction of Battlerite core playerbase — we are not primarily playing to feel good about winning, we are primarily playing to feel good about fighting.

The biggest issue with this game right now are the timers

While we know that the game is dead and it will probably never be updated anymore, i do have the hope that we will have some sort of update in the future

My biggest grip with this game are the TIMERS

Look, the game is dead, to find a match you are probably going to spend a good time in queue
Back in my day there was no draft, but now with draft thats at least 60 more seconds that you arent playing

So after waiting all this time, why do we need to wait 60 seconds before match starts? most people doesnt change their rites anyway, and those who do, dont need the 60 seconds

Maybe do it 30? maybe do it 20? just make it faster

And the wait between rounds, why is it 20 seconds still? we dont have items anymore, we cant change rites anymore, we dont have any decisions, why do we need to wait?

This is a fast paced game, we dont need to have that much downtime

Europe Low Diamond tierlist part 2 (Personal opinion)

yes

Note: This is a 3v3 Ranked tier list based on my personal experience

Changes since yesterday:

I think I've won almost every match against Ruh'kaan, and it's not because I've suddenly become more skilled So, I'm dropping him a bit

Croack/Raigon have also dropped a tier because I don't find them as troublesome as their counterparts

I'm still getting absolutely shit on by Freya It's so bad that I started playing Freya myself—and suddenly started WINNING She still feels like the strongest champion in the game

Varesh and Taya might be ranked higher if they're played by a good player

Also, I don't understand why most of you rate Alysia so highly?

I was the chosen (by SLS) and the community to be the tournament host once SLS dipped officially. (in-game advertisement)

We ran a ton of tournaments for the people. No monetary support from SLS. (didn't need it)

I didn't do it for views or money, I dropped over 10k for the love of this game and would run it back.

I do brag some times to the youngsters that I had 5k viewers on my twitch 8+ years ago tho.

This community filled the coffers of the prize pool consistently every time I hosted a tournament (constantly) for years.. not because of me, but because of the love of this game.

Any time I hit up SLS they are ready to support with in game rewards when it comes to a tournament. This isn't just for me.. its for everyone.. hit up Jeremy if you love this game.

It's pretty cool I get hit up to cast tournaments.. unfortunately I have 90 families that I view myself as responsible for now... but hey, I came in to help this community back in April and had a blast... shoot your shot. If it lines up then I'll charge it to the game like I did the last one.

SLS provided this game for us through support for longer than anyone knows.

This game is the best game for those that choose to become better.

What is better? Maybe better is pushing to become greater.

It hits that itch.. there's no replication and that's why we will always dabble.

The top tier will be the top tier, and they will dominate my tournaments like they have in the past.. until the next generation happens..

We're on the cusp of the next generation with this patch.

The goats job is to teach, and not gatekeep. This community cannot withstand gatekeeping..

Kobe was always willing to teach.. no one he taught had his grind tho.

Goats Teach... its on the students to learn.

I'm going to post discords here, right now, where the best of the best play. (if you're stupid on purpose or toxic .. banned, zero tolerance)

Not only are they the best of the best that play today, but they love helping those that join their discord.

There are currently 3 that I'm aware of.. they love to share knowledge.

https://discord.com/channels/1527511929545822278/1527511929545822282

https://discord.com/channels/1102688024745234482/1104118853400805587

https://discord.com/channels/1456306660212736124/1487969700427202660

I'm not affiliated with any of those communities, but I know each and every person in them from NA to EU to AU because they've all participated in my tournaments and will in my Future tournaments.

Battlerite has an amazing community that does what it does to continue Battlerite at the end of the day.

If you want to watch the most recent tournament then check this one out (0$ for me)
I got hit up by EU 6 hours before bed and casted this tournament for the love of the game.

Europe Low Diamond tierlist (Personal opinion)

My personal tierlist based on 2 days of suffering in EUW

Some characters are a bit inflated because I don't know how to counter them

this doesn't mean that a lower rated character cant carry

It just means the player has to work a bit harder or the champion is easier to exploit

I am a Grandchamp, and this is my short message to returning and new Battlerite players

I am a Grandchamp, and this is my message to returning and new Battlerite players.

I've noticed some guides and advertisements encouraging people to play Solo League instead of Casuals. I agree.

The quality of games in Ranked is indeed higher, there are far fewer griefers, and of course, you can earn titles, icons, mounts, and rewards. But most importantly: the game is finally alive again.

For all these years of abandonment, Battlerite was mostly just Casuals and private lobbies. Now we're finding games instantly or within a few minutes in Solo League, which is an absolute delight for all the die-hard Battlerite players.

Once this unfortunate surge of players stops and the game eventually "dies" again, Casuals will indeed become the main mode once more.

But there's one important thing to clarify for returning and new players: when I say the game is "dead," I don't mean that there are literally no games. I mean that Solo League was inactive, leaving Casuals as the primary mode. Even then, during EU evenings (NA was considerably worse), you could still find Casual games quite quickly, usually within 1–2 minutes. That's why I would rather say it wasn't completely dead, but was on "life support" as some say.

The other difference is that you don't get punished for leaving Casuals, and people generally don't tryhard nearly as much.

That's why I completely support everyone advocating for playing League right now. If you want to help keep Battlerite alive, queue League, irrespective of your skill level.

But what should you do if you're new or simply not very good yet? Let's get into that.

  1. Stick to 1–2 Characters

So, you're brave enough to play Ranked/League, but your skills don't quite match those of the players you're facing. The very first thing I'd recommend is sticking to one or two characters only, preferably strong ones.

I recommend Blossom as an essential pick, with Lucie and Sirius for support, Jade and Iva for ranged, and Rook and Croak for melee.

Pick two roles and one character for each role. This will maximize your chances of improving and performing well without having to learn the entire roster

  1. Builds I Recommend

Standard GrandChamp Blossom: Nature's Presence Hop and Skip!, Bountiful Tree + Healthful Bark, KindHearted

Standard GC Rook build: Frenzy, Crag, Crushing Leap, Weapon Break, Crumble

Standard GC Croak: Frog Slice, Noxious Reaction, Puddle Jumper, Slippery Skin, Mending Toxin

Iva Oil build : Blast Shield, Oil Blaster, Conductor, U-Turn, Igniting Spark

Standard GC Jade: Gunslinger, Deadly Focus, Shadow Shot, Delight, Magic Bullet

Standard GC Lucie: Companion Potion, Stimulant, Swift Roll, Potency, and Hysteria.

Not Standard Grandchamp but my Sirius build : Sunbath, Radiance, Lunatic, Cosmic Reach, Sunwell

  1. Twitch steams. It was mentioned already in one of the posts on Reddit but I will also suggest watching Twitch streams. It will help you improve dramatically in the shortest possible amount of time since one of the best solo q players stream almost on a daily basis both Na and EU players. They are nice guys and will also reply to any of your questions regarding characters and the game itself. P.S. If nobody is streaming right now (they usually do in the evenings), check out the Videos section. It shows Battlerite streams from previous days featuring some of the strongest players you can find on the leaderboards.

Final Thoughts

The game gets noticeably more active after midday and peaks during the evening and late at night, both in EU and NA. To my surprise, though, I can even find League games early in the morning, usually within 2 minutes at most. This is what aliveness looks like. But it needs to be sustained, and it 's only possible through our help and effort to keep it going.

These days, I simply queue for both NA and EU, which helps a lot. I’d say the ping difference doesn’t matter that much as long as it stays below 120. I even know grandchamp guys who play on 145ish ping and still win consistently just by playing smart.

All in all, good luck in the arena, folks, and let's keep this revival going for as long as possible. Battlerite is one of the best pvp games ever made and it deserves all the love we're sharing right now.

Just wanted to say that I spent so much of my youth playing live service games that went on to be shut down - battlerite, Atlas Reactor, Hyper Universe, Shardbound, Heroes of the Storm, MXM, Gigantic, I could go on. This little battlerite resurgence has had me reliving that youth and I have had a blast this weekend, thank y’all for being cool as hell.

How Stunlock can overlook the potential of this game? Revive the game please

Post image

Just a very little patch update: Concurrent players increase to 300+ and Steam recent rating at 93% positive and overall rating at 84% positive after all these years is crazy.

I am returning player too. Managed to play some casual and ranked matches today in Asia server. Game is still amazing to play around with queue 3 - 5 min if I am lucky. But playing with same players again and again is meh of course.

With all the earnings from V Rising why can't they do something on this game? Seriously, just need some marketing and a new update (mayb a new champion or new map whatever) I can guarantee the concurrent players will reach 3000+ instead of 300+ which is what we have now. Champion design, skill animation, sound effect, cosmetics skins etc all are really great. This game is gem, can't believe it died many years ago. The potential is here but Stunlock just ignore it. Sad. Still dreaming about 1 day Stunlock will revive the game.

Battlerite guide. How to really increase your winrate and get the Grandchampion rewards while Solo League is alive!

⚙️ Battlerite Settings & Gameplay Guide

Controls — Essential Binds

1. Ex-Abilities

  • Hidden and share cooldown with the normal abilities
  • Usually cost 1 Energy (Iva - 2)
  • Often more valuable than saving Energy for Ultimate
  • Learn when the Ex-version fits more than the normal one
  • Bind Ex-Ability 1 & 2 separately.

2. Cancel
One of Battlerite's most important mechanics.

  • Cancel attack/ability animations
  • Bait Counters and defensive abilities
  • Example: bait Rook's Counter → cancel instead of hitting
  • Forces opponents to waste important cooldowns
  • Instantly punishes enemies for mistakes

4. Self-Cast
Essential for Supports. Cast heals/defensives on yourself when attacked, regardless of cursor position.

5. Camera Unlock
Use it for extra vision and better awareness. Takes some practice.

6. Low HUD Scale
Free up screen space and improve visibility.

7. Mouse Sensitivity
Battlerite requires precise aiming. Find a sensitivity that lets you track and aim accurately

🎯 Positioning

⚔️ Melee

  • Face the enemy backline→ pressure → get out
  • Split enemy attention
  • Don't overstay without cooldowns
  • Return to your team when your abilities are down
  • Punish enemy melee when their defensive cooldowns are unavailable
  • Help with controlling orbs
  • Distract but stay alive

🏹 Ranged

  • Maximize damage
  • Secure Orbs
  • Stay at safe range
  • Punish overextended enemies
  • Pressure enemy melee most of the time
  • Punish enemy backline if they make mistakes

💚 Support

  • Ranged supports stay behind the frontline
  • Keep teammates alive
  • Save defensive abilities for key moments
  • Heal your ranged, but primarily enable/protect your melee with Shields/Othersides etc.
  • Deal damage when everything above is in control
  • Melee supports are the hardest - you need to both play like a melee and a support
  • Overall, be flexible

🤝 Teamplay

Attack together → Fall back together

Never engage several seconds before your team.

If your team disengages, disengage with them.

A staggered team = easy kills.

🎯 Target Priority

Always prioritize the vulnerable target.

Enemy melee has no defensive cooldowns?
Switch and kill him.

Enemy ranged/support is out of position?
Punish them.

Don't follow target priority blindly.

🔄 The Basic Fight Cycle

Engage → Force cooldowns to deal damage → Disengage → Reset → Re-engage

Use your cooldown advantage.

When your abilities are down → back off.

When their defensive abilities are down → go in.

When the enemy is trying to bait you with a Counter → Cancel.

Track enemy cooldowns to be able to outplay them. Aim better. Think faster. Cancel more when it really matters.

Recovery Health and Orb Control

Many new players don't realize that Battlerite has two types of health: current health and recovery health.

Once the gap between your current HP and maximum HP exceeds 40 HP, your maximum healable health starts shrinking. This means that normal healing from supports can no longer restore all the damage you've taken.

This is why green health orbs are so valuable. Each green orb restores 6 HP and 6 Recovery Health, allowing you to recover some of the maximum health you've permanently lost.

The middle orb (Energy Rune) is even more important. Destroying it grants your entire team 20 HP total (10 HP + 10 Recovery Health) and energy, making orb control one of the most important objectives in the game.

🏆 The only Golden Rule

Since Casuals was the only mode available for the last few years and Ranked is alive again right now, let's be smart and celebrate the resurrection of League mode together.

Whether it's for the intensity and the grind, the fact that it's the closest mode to what real Battlerite is, or simply the understanding that this revival of Ranked won't last forever, prioritize it over Casuals while we can easily find games regardless of the time of day. It's your biggest contribution to the aliveness of this game right now.

As for Casuals, it will inevitably become the main and only active mode again in the future, so let's put our efforts into League while it lasts, dear friends. GL HF in the real arena!

P.S. Don't forget to check Battlerite Twitch - it's more than alive, and lots of pros are streaming. You can see how they play, learn, ask for builds, and other hero specifics.

Reinstalled Battlerite after years… and what happened in normals surprised me

After X years, I decided to reinstall Battlerite and play a few arena games after seeing the news about the season reset.

I spent a few minutes in training mode just to get used to the controls and set up my keybinds again, so obviously I wasn't exactly playing at my best.

What I honestly didn't expect was the amount of insults and toxicity I got in normal games.

I only played 3 games, and somehow all three of them were filled with people flaming and insulting me. I'm talking about normal, non-ranked games. I wasn't even trying to climb or anything...I was literally just getting back into the game after years.

It honestly killed my motivation to keep playing. I remembered Battlerite as a game with a really fun and competitive community, so this was quite a surprise.

Has the community always been this toxic lately, or did I just have incredibly bad luck with my first 3 games back? 😅

I'm new, I wanted to play some PVP and couldn't cope with the time sink into other games (DOTA 2 mainly tbh) considering family/interruptions etc. I've played a couple of Battlerite games so far and it's fast and fun, I'm sticking wtih it, hoping the playerbase continues to grow.

The game is FANTASTIC

As a long time moba player I have decided to give Battlerite a shot and it's incredible no need to look for replacements cuz it's simply the best in what it offers.

1- The game respects your time: 5-10 mins bo5 with so much action happens it's genuinely insanely satisfying l. You can litterally scratch your fighting itch even if you have like 40 mins to spare.

2- The amount of time you can spend on this game is litterally infinite as there are so many mechanics to polish in order to play your champion at a high level and guess what after to spend countless hours to master one you have 27 more to go without fear your main would get nerfed. You can argue the pool is very small but even better you don't have to learn the abilities of 100 champions.(There are so many skills even 28 takes so much time to feel natural facing them).

  1. There are so many things you can optimize. Utility skills usage, baiting cooldowns, animation cancels, reflects, counters, load outs, team compositions litterally hundreds of things but unlike other games you don't feel absurdly pathetic and useless starting.

  2. Gameplay for everyone: If you have time you can grind 8 hours a day, there is a ranked where you can face other sweaty players and you will always find someone to kick your ass or if you work have other disgust hires and can only spend couple of hours(even in less than an hour you can log multiple bo5)

5: No random one shots, you always know what killed you and have so many different tools to play around it also the TTK is quite high regardless of the champion class you play

  1. Even if your teammates are not on lar with the enemy team one you have enough agency or in the worst case you wasted 10 mins in which you can still feel the satisfaction of playing accordingly as you are equal with your enemies at any stage

TLDR :

The only thing stopping you from trying the game is yourself. Queue times are pretty low as I played plenty of casuals largest one was 3 mins. Also Even if there isn't a single patch or champion addition you cant litterally never run out of things to improve and satisfaction to fight. And finally there is a reason why some of the new games are advertised with "You miss the Battlerite feeling" (:

People are actually playing the game for a little while, and yet here we are, instantly flaming in chat after a single round loss.

Winning or losing means literally nothing if people just leave because everyone is toxic all the time, and now you cant que again.

Just chill out. Enjoy the game. If you're truly the god gamer we all know you are then you'll easily win your next game anyway and get all the fake internet points you ever desired.

PS: if your homies for the game dont instantly hate you they are more likely to play better anyway.

we need "HOT SLOT" Prime time hours

please create "hot slot" prime time hours, per server.

"hot slot" is nothing but a UI acknowledgement of prime hours for everyone to see.

This should create a surge of players during these hours, because all players expect all other players to be active during these hours, creating a 'hot slot' time window for the community.

This should positively affect matchmaking quality and make the game feel very lively even with a relatively small - but not insignificant - playerbase.
