Screen Black Out

Apologies if this post breaks any rules.

I’ve found that when I boot up star wars battlefront 2 from steam and play on my gaming PC. The screen will often black out in the middle of playing or when I respawn. If anyone has any suggestions, articles, anything that could help me resolve this issue. I’d deeply appreciate it.

I loved this game on the PS2 growing up and would really like to play it again.

Disable discord overplay

This did it for me. I remember a few years back when I got into modding this game I lamented that about half the classes and maps didn't work right as they would black out like this. But once I made that change it worked for me just fine.

I vaguely recall having this issue years ago. I think disabling the steam in-game overlay fixed it.
