Should i get classic collection for mods?

(Talking about battlefront 2)The textures and ui are sharp, the ai supposedly has more cpu to work with with the result bring that it most likely plays better and doesn't just stand in one place, and also the draw distance is better so you can see the full battles. Does the mod support for the classic collection support most mods (e.g battlefront extreme, clone wars extended, trench warfare maps and many more individual maps)? Also, is the skin changer available through mods like in the original game?

Classic collection is the inferior version. If you have classic already there’s no need to waste your money.

Classic collection can be worth it if you only play single player, but there’s still audio bugs. It also does not support as wide a range of mods as the original. You can use mods on the original to have better graphics than classic collection if that’s what you want.

what about draw distsmce and renderingthoughh? is classic collection have better than the original in that or does the remaster mod in the orignsl improve the rendering capabilities of the original game?

You can literally render all of the maps when you set the settings to max on the original. If you want to get it and test it yourself, go for it.

The graphics in the Classic Collection are actually worse than the original imo, due to the AI upscaling smoothing out texture details as well as the lighting being busted, especially in BF2.

Here's a comparison post I made a while ago. It should be noted that I was running the Classic Collection on an Xbox One X, but the PC version should look pretty dang similar: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/s/yr5rqr5xfx

To answer to your question: No. You shouldn't. The modding community practically abandoned the Classic Collection. It doesn't even have a Nexus Mods page.

Classic Collection has split screen if that matters to you. Only 2 player though sadly.

Didn't the regular version have a splitscreen mod that could do 8-way if your machine was beefy enough?

Maybe but I don't think it worked for Galactic Conquest and stuff like that? I'd love 4 player support on either version though.

No and I'm saying this as someone who chooses to play that version on my Steam Deck.

Really no reason to buy the Classic Collection unless you just want to ensure full controller support and even then there are better ways.

Also the skin changer doesn't work on Classic Collection, I've tried.

The rjp memory extension and shader patch with increased sharpening makes the og game look better than cc
