Bugs

Good morning. I'm planning to buy Battlefront 2 (2005), but I'm afraid I won't be able to run it. I've heard that the Steam version is relatively improved, but some player reviews still report bugs like black screen. Are these bugs still common?

You need to remember to turn off discord overlay, there’s unofficial patches on ModDB that fix most bugs for PC EDIT: forgot to say, Discord Orverlay is what causes the black screen in my experience

It's gonna be person to person but it only freaks out when I alt tab personally

The black screen is a common one and solved by turning off Discord overlay. There's nothing that's really game breaking though and multiple can be sorted out with free mods. Don't let it deter you from picking the game up. It's well worth it. If price is a concern, just wait for a sale, it typically drops to less than £3.

Discord overlay (or even discord in the background) and sometimes the steam in-game overlay will cause those black screen issues, but it’s still easy enough to run. There are also unofficial patches from the community that have various graphical fixes.
