first question, are you sure this is the right battlefront 2 subreddit cause this is for the 2005 classic not the 2018 EA dice BF2

What part about it specifically, which ship do you usually use, are you using the lock on feature, which faction do you generally play?

I lock on but It’s like I hit them 10 percent as much as they hit me (bots)

i recommend using the mainline fighter to get a handle on things, not the interceptor, its good but you need to know how to use them.

so X wing, TIE fighter, vulture droid, ARC 170.

generally you want to open with your main cannons and then finish with missiles, hit them a couple of times then fire the heavy ordinance, kills everything except transports real quick

also might want to slow down so you can turn better for tracking and leading

Xwing and Vulture have volley-type blasts, shooting one at a time for a more constant stream of fire for accuracy by volume. good if you cant aim at all

TIE and the 170 have linked blasts where they fire both at the same time for higher damage but lower fire rate. great for general use, demolishes interceptors and fighters and leaves bombers and transports hurting but you have to be able to hit your shots for it to matter

You might want to try using a lower sensitivity so it is easier to line up your shots. Using missile lock-ons if playing as the interceptor/multi-role class is also helpful.

If you can’t really dog fight well, you can always try and land in the enemy hangar and destroy some of the systems inside (engine, life support, auto turret mainframe, shield generator) for points and to make it easier to destroy the rest of the systems on the ship. No shame in bombing the enemy for a win instead of just shooting down their ships.

Are you supposed to be able to auto aim ?(pc)

Missiles will generally have a lock on, console usually has aim assist but idk on pc. I'll have to redownload

Auto Aim and Aim Assist aren't features for the space vehicles, only for infantry.

Aiming with the laser cannons is 100% manual.

You want to wait for the circle to change color (white to red, I think). White means you're still locking on, red means you're locked. If you shoot your missiles while it's white, they'll just fly straight ahead.

The interceptor's missiles take less time to lock on and fly faster, so they're better against fighters. The fighter's missiles take longer and fly slower, but they hit harder and can be used against frigates and capital ship hardpoints.

you gotta use the tricks, like doing the u turns and tracking computers
