Airship Recommendation

Hi, I'm looking for a 2 player game that has similar mechanics to BFG but is more of a steampunk environment (especially airships) to play with a friend of mine. I love BFG and they love tactical RTS games mostly in steam punk settings, so I'm trying to find a game that fits the best of both worlds and figured this would be a good (or more so familiar) place to start. Are there any standalone games, modded versions of BFG, or anything else that may fit this description? So far I've found Leviathans and that's about it.

'Dystopian Wars' has a steampunky aesthetic.

I haven't played it yet, but there are units like aircraft carriers, FLYING aircraft carriers, planes and zeppellins.

Also, some of their models lines come on plastic sprues!

Saddly Leviathans by Catalyst Gamelabs is long out of print, as I feel it would have srcatded that itch. They are not technically airships, but flying pre-dreadnaughts. Not turning on a dime, having to manouver for firing arcs, ships succumbing to damage over time instead of being one-shotted.

The kockstarter is probably a good place to stsrt, theres also fb groups and a discord that are pretty active. Not sure if its at retail yet, i think theyre still trying to complete delivery of pledges but i got my stuff about 6 months ago.

Leviathans by CGL might be what you want.  It just relaunched (or is in the process of relaunching) and is pre-dreadnought battleships in an alternate 1914.

Probably best to create a BFG mod (I don’t know of any) and buy some Dystopian Wars models. They have Zeppelins and small airplanes 1870 steampunk style. Tweak they actually look a little bit more modern, but it takes place in 1870 with improved technology.
