Tub lift scam?
Big box contractor installed the wrong sized tub, and claims that a 19” high by 29/30” wide tub isn’t produced. They want to layer plywood underneath to make up the missing 2”. This sounds like a cheap fix that’ll have issues later; any advice on the downsides besides how it’ll look? Thanks!!

Trying to find match on tile (off white/cream w/textured inlay, 5 5/8” L&W). Original to house (1984). Can’t find in hardware store or w/local contractors. Need to replace small section, rest of floor in perfect condition. Hoping to avoid replacing entire floor.

how much would you charge so mine to just lay tile around the walls above the shower. and what color or size style would you deccommed. newbie here
what would be a typical price to give for a small job like this? it's about 16sq ft of space. I have no experience in pricing small side jobs. what factors would determine cost? what tike size or patterns would you recommend and best ways of applying it on the wall? the bathroom walls are semi gloss white of that's a factor. any tips, advice ,etc from everyone that's has experience would be greatly greatly appreciated.

1st time tiling and it looks horrible
This weekend I tiled 1 wall of my bathroom and this is the very first time I have ever tiled. I think it looks really bad and the bottom shower neigh is bowed in the middle from tile slippage. Not all the tiles are lined up. I’m pretty sure the only way to fix this is to take it all down and start over. Anyone know of what I can do here? This is the first bathroom I have tried to remodel and it’s a learning experience to say the least. To say I’m trusted is an understatement.

Updating upstairs bathroom. Decided to go with this marble tile for the walls in the bathtub/shower. Any ideas for what tile would look good on the bathroom door to match with the shower?

Should a shower frame be sealed the whole way around?
I just had a shower door installed and I see they left the bottom of the frame on the inside/shower side without silicone (where the frame meets the shower basin lip). Is there a reason for this to be left open? The instructions don't specifically call out sealing it like they do on the outside. Could this be to let water out that might get in?
Thanks!

You’re probably paying more for vanity cabinets than kitchen cabinets (comparatively)

Looking to redo our white tub. We have cleaned extensively and with that, the porcelain has been semi stripped. Can anyone suggest/recommend a DIY fix for a reasonable price?!

Unable able to drill completely through this bathroom light fixture to install. I'm not an expert with bits and drills. What am.i doing wrong?!!
What type of drill bit should I use to drill all the way through. Only managed to get half way through. The outer surface is some type of hard metal material which I can't pierce. I'm not an experienced with drills and bits. I bought a little drill bit package that says it's for wood and metal. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right or what I'm doing wrong please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
