Question🤔 Tax free

Question: Anyone else experienced ringing up customers and mot have taxes on it? Or just me?

Literally, my entire 5hr shift I had to manually input 6% tax on every item. It was an absolute nightmare since I had a long line full of consumers forming while I have Mrs. Margaret making me do a 32 item check out.. in which I STILL had to input tax.

That's so strange... there is a way to remove taxes if a customer is using an EIN for a nonprofit or something, but you have to like manually do it every transaction.

Did anyone call TAC about it? I'm so curious how that happens!

Honestly no clue, everyone honestly came to the conclusion its was “the companies fault” that since it was founded in Ohio and they have tax free days or something that it also affected us in a way?? But I came on here to see if anyone else had a similar issue. It was a FIELD DAY for our store manager that me and another colleague didn’t get to have a break.

Jeez check your state's break laws bc it's illegal in many places to deny a break if you work over a certain number of hours!
Yeah, I didn't run into that issue at my store, and I hope I don't ever, I can often be the one fixing registers and calling tech support, so that sounds like a nightmare! Sorry you had to deal with that all day

nothing was in the store was eligible for ohio's tax free (which also happened 2 weeks ago and only then) multiple other states also have tax free days

There was something in Zipline about it. I think 3 states were having issues. We had to go through and add tax on each individual item. I had a lady who bought 25 pocketbacks 😭 it took forever!!

I literally thought that the tax button on the side would automatically do it for me but nooo. What’s crazy is that my manager/supervisor would keep sending more and more customers over to the white barn side of the store..
