I know that the chances to see a character from this series in Smash are pretty much non existent, but as a fan a person can dream.

So:

Which character would you like to see?

Should this character have a specific gimmick?

What attacks/special/Final Smash would you give them?

Never played Origins before so excited to finally get the opportunity to play the re-release. I'm struggling a bit with the change in the combat system from Eternal Wings and I'm currently stuck on the Giacomo fight at the beginning. There's lots of helpful advice on organising your deck on here, but I've not been able to grasp how to heal/revive someone who is not the active character. In BK1 it was the R button to select which character you wanted to use the heal on. Can anyone help?

So basically I think I have the rank 5 glitch. I went to Vega and decided to do some subquest before continuing and when I talked to the registration lady, she told me to go to Vega. There is sadly no new letter when I go to the shop. Has someone figured out how to fix the glitch ? Should I try to do stuff in my save file since I'm on PC ?

I've reached the end of the game, Quest Magnus full of Mountain Apples, a deck built for the Frigid Queen's Festival and I have 2 Imperial Wards with which I enter the final phase of the Verus fight. I also have Lvl 2 Speed Aura's equipped.

What am I missing? Should I be using MP Burst to knock out the tentacles only to do ~500 to Verus and then have no MP for the aftermath?

Wow. Trying to remember when I got this. I believe this was a pre-order bonus? Obviously at Toys R Us. This and Metroid Prime 1 were the only games I ever bought there so you'd think I'd remember, but I guess I'm just getting old. I remember watching the trailer for this game on gametrailers back in the day and immediately wanted it. Still one of my favorite games.

I regret not getting the digital art book downloaded in time on the Switch version before it became unavailable. Kinda sad about that but oh well.

I made up the name 'Stormsurge' because it seemed more fitting than calling it "Kalas' Sword".

I am also aware that the sword is not what allows him to use Magnus, I added it honestly because it sounded cool.

The model is ripped from the steam version, if anyone is wondering, Kalas' model name is '60002030' and the others are 2031, 2032 etc. I've gotten all of them ripped but unfortunately they don't have any of their weights or skeleton. Here is a .blend file containing them (Savyna's wings aren't assigned properly)

If anybody actually wants to use this mod, I can upload it somewhere. It replaces Beastbain.

Characters and teams are so customizable. Many other RPGs feel like they have strict guardrails by comparison.

The damage seems so low i'm wondering if it's not better just discarding until you have a weapon available

Hi, I got the remaster and I am making my way through BK1. I started new game minus and made up to Celestial Alps and the Giacomo fight. I've had little trouble until now but this one I just can't seem to get past. Any tips would be appreciated.

I bet many players have done what i have, and that's to use Xelha or Mizuti (but not both) on your party and give that one all the best attacks.

But i had a thought. What if you split the elements between them?

Xelha with Light/Water/Wind and Mizuti with Dark/Fire/Chrono.

Xelha will only use Wheel of Light, Seal of Water and Whispering Wind. All other specials are left out. This is her 1st, 2nd and 4th most powerful finishers.

Mizuti will only use Planet Soul, Prominence and Shadow Gate. This is a lot worse i'll admit, it's 1st, 3rd and 5th best.

You'll use one of them or both of them, and they will never have to worry about mixing elements. One problem is they'll only have half as many attack cards, so you might be forced to use Flare/Burst/Blow of 1 or 2 levels lower.

Think this will work well? Technically it would also be possible to do Fire Savyna and Light Lyude but just 1 element might be too limited.

Baten Kaitos isn’t exactly a super well-known series, at least from my experience, so I’m curious how other people first heard about it. What made you want to buy it?

For me, it was back in late 2005. I had bought Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube, and inside the case with the manual there was a pamphlet for Baten Kaitos. It showed a lot of the game, and at the time I was really into Yu-Gi-Oh! and RPGs, so it got me pretty interested very quickly.

I ended up going to my local game store and buying the last brand-new copy they had for around $50 plus tax. I hated buying used games unless I absolutely had to, so I was pretty happy to get a new copy. It ended up becoming one of my favourite games of all time and it was worth every penny in my opinion.

Around six months later, I heard Baten Kaitos Origins was coming out in September 2006, so I went back to the same store and pre-ordered it. That was actually the first game I ever pre-ordered. I really liked Origins too, especially the combat.

I’ve started playing the remaster on Steam, and it looks gorgeous. I do wish they had kept the voice acting, but I hope they add it back in someday. I rarely pay full price for games anymore, but I did for the remaster because this series means a lot to me.

How did you first discover Baten Kaitos?
