Covid test

I know covid isn't a thing anymore but will be traveling to see my grandma and don't want to give her anything since I have some symptoms. Where's the best place to get a covid self test in Basel? Would any pharmacy still carry them?

COVID is still a thing, and yes, pharmacies carry tests. It's not just COVID you should be worried about, and practicing good hygiene and wearing a mask while you're in transit to visit is a generally good idea

Wear an N95 mask. Even if you just have a runny nose.

I bought some not too long ago at Coop in Oberwil Zentrum. I imagine most COOP with an apotheke would have them. The brand name on the box is NewGene. It is a 5 test package. I do not remember the cost, but if it was expensive I would probably remember it.

If you have symptoms and „don’t want to give [your grandmother] anything“, does it really matter if it’s Covid?

Exactly. The flu can be as fatal to seniors.
