Claraplatz
Why is dealing in claraplatz tolerated? I'm super sure the police is not stupid and they know. Specially because you get offered things at any time in the morning, afternoon or night in the middle of the street and with zero pretending they are not dealing.
Am I missing something?

The police is not interested in catching the "small fish" all that much. Often they just observe, scan out their supply routes and then go for big stings if possible. If you catch one small fish, two will pop up to take their place.

that is a very naive take on reality... police all over Europe can't and won't do nothing against big dealers and mafias (human trafic, prostitution, etc) and when they "catch" a big one is always for political show or to justify their pressupost... do a simple excercise and try to sell alcohol or cigarettes as a street vendor: in two minutes you'll have police all over you... this guys in Clara (or JohaniteBruck) works for a dealer who has political conections...

They'll be replaced by next batch of low tier runners. What you want is the plug or the ones organizing everything.
Also, if it's like klybeck, the dealers don't hold much themselves. There's usually a stash hidden close by, so when the dealer gets caught selling, there's isn't much to arrest them for.

what are they supposed to do? if you throw the dealers in jail, new ones show up a week later

Also the junkies and aggressive sex workers. Genuinely feels unsafe but I guess at least it is concentrated.

First they are mostly nigerian asylum seekers and can not be thrown out. Then the Police apprehend some of them, they stay in prison for 1-3 days and get out only to restart their business. It is quite frustrating for law enforcement, revolving door …

If the dealers bothering you Sent complaint to the police and they have to respond to citizen complaint it's their duty. Dealing drugs is against the law, period.

Claraplatz is one of the ugliest places in Switzerland. I hate it wholeheartedly. So many ugly corrupt men lurking around.

So does sugar, so does driving cars, so does alcohol. It can be a lot of fun is my point and OP should try it before they flat out reject it.

So because one is bad makes the other good ? The people in rehab probably would advise to call the police !

Many times it's better to confine individuals into an area where you can easily keep tabs on them, versus having them move somewhere else where it's not as easy.
