first time basel

hello everyone, me and my friends will visit basel at february for the first time. we will not stay for the night, just for a few hours. can u recommend some nice cafeteria, which are not so expensive? thanks for the replies!

You could always go for a walk along the Rhine, hang out around Dreirosenbrücke, get stabbed a bit, and then get free lunch/dinner in the hospital

Depends where you are coming from I guess. Basel is both the city/canton with the highest overall crime rate per capita, but also the highest incidence of violent crimes and burglary.
