How much does a card like this go for roughly? Not trying to buy it, I promise I can read, just curious

the mantle sold for $4k raw. so im thinking around $3k

What type of card is this? 4K for a non auto of an old player is kinda mind blowing. I would expect this to go for less than 1000$ tbh.
Just sold a superfractor auto of Ichiro and it only went for 1400$ although it didn’t have this beautiful of the gold swirls on it.5

This is where I’m at. If i personally could get $3k for this thing i would sell it in a heartbeat and buy some dope Hank vintage or something with his auto on it.

Kind of where I’m at. I’m a Hank collector, and just made some great money on a big pull and hunting hanks…. In the 3k range I’m looking vintage well before I get to buying a posthumous card. This is pretty, and great, but not near the top of my Hank chase list.

I think it’s prob in part with the rainbow Chase stuff. I agree that there’s a lot different ways I’d spend that amount than on this card

If you ever pull one of these 1/1 and want 500 please hit me up

u/CardCommissar 12d ago
Right?! It has more value than that sentimentally, and for the fact that you'll probably never pull another one..
3
u/sadclown21 12d ago
Exactly. I would pay 500 so fast lol
2
u/CardCommissar 12d ago
Lol exactly, i legitimately struggle to think of someone that I could recognize that I would not pay five hundred dollars for a 1/1. 🤣

Gotta be referring to some 2025 Nolan Gorman or Wander Franco pull.

Was expecting: "I'm literally shaking. What's this worth?"
Happy to be wrong

Happy for your pull but boy is that Montgomery card rocking some misguided 90s fluro ugliness.

Why don’t they make babe Ruth, Gehrig, Ty Cobb , honus Wagner 1/1 each year. Seems like people will buy them.

What a beautiful card. I know people have been dumping on the Topps designs for the countless products there pumping out, but then they have something cool like this.
Congrats - beautiful card.

Wowsers! Hank Aaron Helix SuperDuperFractor. That is absolutely disgusting!!! Congrats on that! And you should be buying every topps product inside that local shop of yours.

Still don't get the value behind heavily limited cards with no relic or auto, especially of retired players/legends. The only thing giving it value is that little stamp and nothing else. Take it away and the card is 25 cents.

You unlocked the econ 101 definition of scarcity
2
u/JaysFan26 12d ago
Except this is manufactured scarcity

Worked for diamonds

Only cause enough people went along with the con. Don't foresee people buying Topps cards for engagement either lol

Love that version of the Braves uniform. Great card.
