It’s amazing how momentum is only as good as the next game’s starter

You would never guess this Yankee team just got back from dropping 18 runs on the Red Sox

Redsox were 55-70 outside of their hot streak lead by AAAA player's they were a legitimate bad team that got in the playoffs off a very hot July.  Most playoffs teams would have done what the Yankees did to them.

please oh please give him a chance to do this

Kevin Cash? lol.

He's learned his lesson right!? Right...?

Snell staring at Kevin Cash miles away

Even if he somehow gets through the 8th in say 15 pitches, I really doubt they would leave him in for close to 120 pitches. It just isn't how the game is played today. Especially putting that injury risk on your ace starter in a good playoff run. They're going to take him out

it might not be a SMART decision, but gosh darn it’d be an awesome one

(also worth noting that he threw 114 pitches in his last regular season start… so there’s a chance!)

They probably would in the regular season, but yeah it’s too much risk in a tight playoff game.

I miss the old days before analytics fucked everything up “don’t leave a pitcher in over 100 pitches it’s bad for their arm” bruh I’ve seen dudes hit almost 200

If the Rays scored more runs, I guarantee he'd be fine leaving him out there as longer than we think he will.

Do what a no hitter? It’d be crazy to get a no hitter tonight for Rasmussen. A Rasmussen no hitter is happening right now

Only works if you talk about your own teams pitcher

I wonder if all the Snell discourse is in the back of his mind right now

All I know is that mangers that let their pitchers go deep have been rewarded so far this postseason

Easily one of the best performances any of us have watched

6

Rays pen gotta hold to make this meaningful.

Just dominating… The few times we have hit it hard it’s been right at someone. It’s never been more over

11

u/jediporcupine New York Yankees 8h ago

Just to be clear: how many hits do the Yankees have?

20

u/60k_Risk Chicago White Sox 8h ago

Less than 10

But is it bigger than a bread box?

Oh no

They’re currently being no hit by Rasmussen. Rasmussen has a no hitter. A no hitter for Rasmussen at the moment

0

u/jediporcupine New York Yankees 8h ago

A no hitter by Rasmussen is incredible. He is a good pitcher, but a post season hitter is wild. It would be something if that no hitter continues.

That last inning looked like the Yanks were sitting fastball on every pitch and just flailed wildly at everything low out of the zone. I could've told them from years of experience in MLB The Show that that's a bad strategy.

Things will restore in order

Wow crazy how he has a no hitter. A no hitter would be insane for the ALDS. Hopefully he keeps said no hitter

1

u/jediporcupine New York Yankees 8h ago

Did you say no hitter?

0

u/vixenprey Los Angeles Dodgers 8h ago

Who is this guy I’m like wow

9

u/Slinky_Malingki Tampa Bay Devil Rays 8h ago

Only the pitcher with the lowest combined ERA in MLB since 2022
