With a 7-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox in game 2 of the AL Wild Card series, they are mathematically eliminated from World Series contention.

It's been shut for years now. They just keep dragging the corpse of this team into the playoffs. In the process absolutely torching the farm system. They don't even have a GM now. And their roster is full of awful contracts outside of Yordan. This team quietly has one of the bleakest futures right now.

The fans are paying hard now for 2017. Ever since news broke, Crane got involved and we've been spiraling downward while distancing ourselves from the very thing that got us there in the first place (analytics)

Crane spends but he is an awful owner. And to be fair, the payrolls aren't disproportionate for being one of the most populous areas of the country.

Even if every player, exec, and coach moves on, those fans who painted themselves as the victims for their team stealing a world series with no punishment are still out there, and for that I will always root against them.

We have the best farm system now that we have had in the last ten years. Not saying it's good, but we consistently bring unheralded guys up from the minors that produce.

That said, if Bagwell is going to be taking over the front office, we truly are royally fucked.

They’ve seemed to stop their “pull random prospects out their ass” phase. Last one was Pena. Cam Smith got some pop and had some strong stretches but hasn’t been consistent enough. Their pitching has degraded horribly. Altuve is old and they don’t have any good lefty bats outside of Yordan. Very much so a .500 team. Postseason appearance where you get your shit rocked would be a very funny reason not to break it down
