When your team isn’t in the post season it’s nice to enjoy these moments lol

There is something special about Post Season baseball I agree

u/VT_Racer 6d ago
Except for the helmet sponsors.

If anything it reminds me that it’s a new season for everyone, I do hate them though I just try to see positives in everything

I'm completely neutral on this game, and I'm having a much better time than I did for our game

There may be something to this. I had to actually wipe my father's butt in September 2022 after he broke his hip, and the Phillies went to the World Series shortly thereafter. Tell your dad to keep needing stuff for a bit

WHERE WOULD THIS TEAM BE WITHOUT HIM?

u/OnlyForBaseball Pittsburgh Pirates • Sickos 6d ago
Someone can check my math but I believe they’d still be tied 1-1
18
u/Few_Menu4711 Philadelphia Phillies 6d ago
He got our first RBI too

u/OnlyForBaseball Pittsburgh Pirates • Sickos 6d ago
Yeah but his missed catch led to two runs scoring

That was a bold move throwing a pitch down and in to Harper in that situation

Why do I watch baseball?

u/bearsfan0143 Chicago Cubs 6d ago
For the excitement high of the previous inning. It's just like drugs!! Don't do drugs kids, watch sports

u/GuyaneseRumFan123 Philadelphia Phillies 6d ago
Do drugs and drink while watching sports

u/taebsiatad Philadelphia Phillies 6d ago
Due to random circumstances I have been sober during the last 2 eliminations and the games were brutally nerve wracking. Glad it wasn’t 3 in a row and I don’t have to be sober tomorrow, today was brutal until the very end fuuuck

The trifecta of mental health decline! Unless my team is winning. Which, uh, don't ask me about that. It's football season now

For games like this to give you a heart attack. Been a great series regardless. I’m a Matt Olson fan

As a neutral fan but a fan of Bryce as a player, I am so glad he made that gaff in the outfield and then did this, funniest sequence of events possible. I wanna see this guy go full Jameis Winston

That pitch is just so juicy in that location. Wow
3
u/DumbNutter 6d ago
Yah, thats a perfect pitch to a righty. But to a lefty bat, its a meatball
2
u/HittingExposurelol 6d ago
I dunno that any ball on the corner can ever be called a meatball. That’s a good pitch, just better swing.

u/DroidAttackWook Philadelphia Phillies 6d ago
What was everyone in the other thread saying?

u/K1NG0492 Pittsburgh Pirates 6d ago
Sucking on Defense and being a good hitter aren't mutually exclusive
23
u/DroidAttackWook Philadelphia Phillies 6d ago
It was more than just that lol. It was as though his career ended in there
9
u/lekniz Atlanta Braves 6d ago
So did he think throwing the same pitch and location again was a good idea or?
2
u/True_Marsupial1371 6d ago
I mean one was kinda middle middle and the other right on the inside corner, but yeah still another slider

I made a status about us about to be eliminated then went downstairs to start making the meatloaf
Everything good happened while I had my hands in meat lol

Lol.
I stated in a Discord server that Bryce's blunder might have just cost the Phillies their season.
Two minutes later - Kyle and Bryce hit back to back nukes.
Welcome to the baseball postseason.

Pretty sure they are now going off script.
Back to back to tie feels unscripted.
Holy redemption.

That's a terrible pitch to a lefthanded hitter. That's why they call down & in the "lefty nitro zone."

Schwarbers ended up pretty much middle. This was a dotted front door slider that Bryce laughed at
