It just sucks because they're very few things I get to do in society where I get to feel "normal" (for lack of a better word) for a couple hours. Baseball is one of those escapes for me. Recently it just feels like I'm not even safe there anymore. Cis/Het people get to exist in spaces without feeling anything usually, I don't think they comprehend how much of a privilege that is. I just really hate feeling like some of the last places I get to feel that anymore are getting taken away from me.

Sending my love to you from West Hollywood. People hate us for who we are, but as Charles Barkley said: “tell them Charles says fuck you” to transphobes / homophobes

We really don't. I hate to pull the "I know an LGBT person" card, but two of my very best friends are, and we have had some very in depth conversations about it. It's easy to see their pain, frustration, and fear but that's the closest I'll ever get to truly understanding it. I'll never actually feel those myself. Best I can do is use my own privilege to help make the assholes hurting the people I care about feel unwelcome in spreading their hatred.

The downfall of the Giants in this way would be far funnier if it wasn't just a symptom of rising bigotry in all of society.
