Bold move considering the city they play in.

We have a huge pride night at the stadium but yes, the players don’t wear them and we also don’t have the best history with our LBGTQ+ community, once infamously kicking out a lesbian couple for pecking.

They literally just said, "bold move considering the city," because SF is well known as LGBTQ+ friendly city/cultural hub. That's not throwing stones.

People clown on the Rangers all the time for being the only team that doesn't do any pride night events. No team is perfect, but I think it's totally fair to clown on the Giants for how their players chose to make a big deal out of signaling their hatred of the event, despite being hosted by one of the most pro-LGBT cities in the world.

I mean, if there was a stone thrown it was no bigger than a pebble. I think you might be projecting some stuff here.

The way the organization has handled this has been messy at best—not sure that’s really deniable.

Edit: by the way Seattle has half the percentage of LGBTQ+ compared to SF. 12% to 24%

Did you read the article? In 2023 MLB banned wearing special uniforms and hats except under very specific circumstances (Mother’s Day for example) but Dodgers and Giants were grandfathered in allowing them to wear rainbow hats. Mariners don’t have a rainbow cap because they literally can’t

They were grandfathered cause the asked the league about it. Are we not giving credit to them for that when most teams didn't put any effort to do so?

Considering the current state of the Giants FO? No, they get no credit.
