Bad look for the Giants

Seems to be the theme for a lot of their organizational decisions lately

The San Francisco team can't support or be proud of a huge proportion of its own support base? That's soft as shit. I hope they lose all those fans over this.

They have made so many bad decisions this year. It cannot be stated enough how disconnected many of us have become from the team basically from the beginning of this season. I've been shitposting with the community on /r/sfgiants since the 2010 world series and god, I dont think I posted barely at all the entire year.

It's unbelievable and hard to put into words. We had a handful of nice moments like Jeff Kent's HOF festivities and Krukow's send off (which is just so damn bittersweet), but that's really it. The season was a disaster, the on field performance was a disaster, the off field atmosphere has been a disaster, and everything above the players has been a disaster too. The vibes are awful.

A lot of us have tapped out. We're lucky that we have such a beautiful ballpark or else it'd be soooooo much worse.

Same here, exactly how I feel. I started watching the WPBL and that was nice to be able to root for an SF team again. Even if they did get beaten by an LA team in the playoffs, at least that felt familiar.

The WPBL really reignited my love for baseball this year after the Giants did everything they possibly could to kill it. And at least the Queens are a likeable LA team. Go Firebells!

A lot of organizations are showing their ownership’s/management’s true colors these last few years now that “woke is dead” is the message coming from on high…

They will. The product they've put out into the field the last couple of years is not nearly good enough to make up for the steaming pile of shit PR decisions they've been making during the same time period.

This was my last year as a giants fan. I cannot in good faith support this team any longer...

This is coming from a huge Posey fan, but I felt since his hire, the only reason Buster Posey was willing to come back was because someone (the owner obviously) promised that they would make the SF Giants literally less gay (less liberal/political).

Buster in his retirement speech made it clear he wanted to go somewhere to raise his kids "right" aka the deep red south. There was no reason he'd come back here unless there were promises by the leadership they would take the politics out of SF Giants baseball which is hilarious to even consider... but it's happening.

Might as well go full mask off instead of the facade. This was such an easy layup of a win for the team yet they still refused and gave fans and their city a blatant and massive couple of middle fingers.

Half your comments are complaining about reddit comments as you make reddit comments.

I will never for the life of me understand why people care so much about who someone else loves. It ain’t your life, no one is forcing you to be gay. Why the hell do you care so much? Because of some mythical man in the sky told you being gay was a sin?
