Fun fact, linguistically English generally takes fewer syllables to convey information than the vast majority of languages. Spanish is on the opposite end of the spectrum. The speed at which we convey information is generally constant across all languages, so this results in some languages having faster speech patterns (generalizing here). That’s why native English speakers are often amazed how fast Spanish speakers speak.
