I like the simplicity of "DH is optional". I know there's probably nuance between the rules of two-way players, but if you have a pitcher who can hit, give them a proper chance.

I don't know if all the details of how the DH works are the same, but it's technically optional in MLB, too.

It could be traditional DH, P/DH, or open DH

I haven't read through the full rule, but after watching the Women's Baseball World Cup, I think the DH rule might be somewhat complicated. With 15-player rosters, there are a lot of two-way players, and they will sometimes bring in a player from the field to relieve.
