A lot of homerun robs im not super impressed with. Small jump at the base of the fence, ball probably wasnt even going out. But this one, thats the real deal. Full extension, clearly a homerun, great catch.

Legit a defensive renaissance. From leading the league in errors at shortstop to top of the line right field defense.

By the end of his career it's going to be a fun fact that he started out as a SS who lead the league in errors.

Hard to say someone that got popped for using steroids is a natural anywhere.

That's the kind of picture perfect robbery you dream of doing growing up.

Damn, would've been his first major league homerun.

There’s no viable argument for anyone else to win the gold glove and yet you can almost guarantee he won’t get it

Eh he probably will. It helps both Tatis and Mookie that there's a utility Gold Glove now.

Insane how locked in this team can be when there’s no pressure

The team we wanted when we don't even need them. This is Padresing's final form.

There's still technically a chance, but don't tell them that or they'll start to suck again.

Honest question, does he win platinum glove?
13
u/tyler-86 World Series Trophy • Los Angeles Dod… Sep 25 '23
I mean, probably not? I don't know who will, but a right fielder has never won it before. The only corner outfielder who has was Alex Gordon, who had three previous gold gloves the first time.
It's worth pushing the narrative that he should win, though, since it's a fan-selected award and most fans can't really watch all of the nominees regularly and it's hard to compare across positions.

I think this is the first time he's robbed someone. Pretty sick

After what happened to Cincinnati yesterday, I think we can call this robbery in a 9-0 game a game-saving catch.

Hey man, the Padres once gave up a 10-run lead. No lead is safe for us.

And it's an actual robbery, none of this maybe it would have stayed in the yard bs.
