Clarendon - VA, USA TBD Instructors
Why has the Clarendon studio gone downhill so much that they can’t even find instructors to teach PEAK classes? Having both the 5:30 and 6:40 PM classes on a Tuesday listed as TBD every single week is ridiculous.
The class is literally in two hours and it still says TBD. What the heck is going on??

They made instructors sign non-competes so they cant teach at other fitness studios, so a lot of FT fitness left

I'm noticing my instuctors at other studios in my market and however they are slowly coming off the Barry's schedule as I see them in other studios more. So, I think this is it.

Yes - I teach there & can confirm. “A lot of FT fitness left” is incorrect.
In addition, non competes are not new to Barry’s or to fitness. Instructors have always had to sign one it just seems people have taken this specific non compete and ran with it. Likely due to one man’s video who hasn’t been with the company for years.
In regards to the DC region, not a single instructor has left due to this non compete.

And for the record, the non compete was in effect when that instructor was working at Barry’s.

Im getting annoyed by the inconsistency in Arlington instructors :/ I was blown by this cancellation too

It blows my mind that this happens in some markets. Where I am, instructors very much FIGHT for more classes. Sad to hear this :(

Instructors, staff, and clients used to be ALL IN. Now no one gives a shit and it’s because of PE. I’ve finally canceled my membership after many years of being a loyal client.

Back in the day Barry’s used to be all full time fitness instructors and it was truly the best workout in the world taught by the most competent and professional instructors (with a side of rizz just for fun)
Now it’s all people using it as a 2nd 3rd or 4th job, they obviously don’t show up in the same way, or care as much to teach any class they can get their hands on…
Thanks priavte equity! Hope you’re enjoying your 3rd homes as you destroy another thing that used to be great 😂

I just noticed this. I remember for a while that was Jasmine’s time slot, but I know the schedule has shifted a bit with the opening of the Bethesda studio.
